Our activation Hui is a super informal get-together to share some kai (food) and connect with your sustainably like-minded neighbours! Both the UniFlat and Sustainability Office teams will be there to chat & connect with as well

Miranda Mirosa

Professor, Sustainable Food Systems

I'm Head of the Department of Food Science. I'm unquestionably passionate in my determination to use my role as a teacher to infect my students with the same passion to learn, and to make a difference in the world.

My research background is in agri-food marketing and consumer behaviour. I lead a Sustainable Food Systems Behavioural Research Group whose mission is catalysing change for a more sustainable food future. I conduct fundamental and translational behavioural research focused on improving people and planetary health. My research is providing a credible evidence base for decision-makers in NZ’s food industry, the waste sector, the government and civil society organisations.
